Frequently asked questions
Service‑specific
Do I need recent blood tests?
Recent results help tailor your plan. If you don’t have them, your clinician can arrange appropriate tests where indicated.
Are medicines required?
Not necessarily. Many patients progress with lifestyle changes alone. Medication is considered case‑by‑case and only when clinically appropriate.
How often are follow‑ups?
Follow‑up cadence depends on your goals and response—your clinician will agree a schedule with you.
General CALL@Doc FAQs
What counts as after‑hours and how is the +25% applied?
After‑hours includes weekday evenings (6:00 PM–8:00 AM), weekends, and NSW public holidays. A 25% uplift is applied to standard fees during these times. See: After‑hours fee details.
Are Medicare rebates available for telehealth?
Eligibility depends on your circumstances and current Medicare rules. Where applicable, we’ll advise during your consult if a rebate may apply and what evidence is required.
Do I need ID or medical history to book?
Yes. To maintain safety and regulatory compliance, we may require photo ID and relevant medical history. You’ll be guided through secure submission during booking.
How fast will I receive my eScript or certificate?
Most eScripts and certificates are issued shortly after your consult if clinically appropriate—often the same day. You’ll receive them digitally via SMS/email.
Can you prescribe Schedule 8 or restricted medications?
Some medicines (e.g., Schedule 8) have stricter rules or may need an in‑person assessment. Your clinician will advise if telehealth is appropriate; otherwise you’ll be referred accordingly. Learn more: Prescriptions.
